Over a decade of providing clean and safe water and sanitation facilities to the people of Pakistan, Pakoasis is today Pakistan’s largest water engineering company with hundreds of water filtration plants across Sindh varying in production capacity from tens of thousands of gallons per day to millions of imperial gallons per day.

Pakoasis was established in 2005 in Pakistan by offering economical water desalination solution for municipal, agriculture, community and industrial sectors. The first project in Thar for the installation of four Reverse Osmosis desalination plants was completed within three months and fresh drinking water was successfully made available to the people there. Pakoasis has built a reputation of delivering results in a timely and efficient manner in the most challenging of environments in Pakistan.

Pakoasis has taken initiatives towards protecting the environment by integration of renewable energy sources in its existing and newly built plants. Pakoasis has proudly set up Pakistan’s first ever completely solar powered ultrafiltration plant in Pakistan and has also established a solar hybrid water desalination complex in Tharparkar. The introduction of solar energy based technology is an innovative and revolutionary step towards sustainable development to curb the drinking water and energy crisis.

Pakoasis is working relentlessly as a catalyst of change to provide clean drinking water and ensure food security in its areas of operation. The projects undertaken by Pakoasis are reflective of the ingenuity, discipline and hard work of Pakoasis’ team led by Managing Director Omar Jilani.

Pakoasis is providing clean water and efficient water treatment management within a green energy concept. With the help of technologies such as Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR), Moving Bed Bio Reactor (MBBR), Organica, UASB and other technologies, Pakoasis aims to reuse sewerage, effluent or provide combined effluent treatment. Through this Pakoasis adopts an environmental approach by recycling treated water for agriculture and irrigation purposes and attempts to reduce wastage of water, while simultaneously addressing water shortage issues.
